The global footer appears at the bottom of every email you send through your campaigns and typically includes important information such as your company details, contact info, and an unsubscribe link.

Including an unsubscribe link isn’t just a best practice — it’s legally required under regulations like CAN-SPAM (in the U.S.) and GDPR (in the EU). Failing to include it can lead to compliance issues, poor deliverability, and even penalties.

In this step-by-step guide, we’ll walk you through how to update your global footer so it reflects your brand, stays compliant, and provides a smooth experience for your subscribers.

  • In your SendX Dashboard, click on the Settings button on the top right drop-down box which looks like this.

  • In your Settings, go to the Unsubscribe option and press the 'Open Editor' button.

  • In the editor, you can see the unsubscribe code that SendX sends out at the bottom of all your emails. Feel free to add a message before the code for personalization. Make sure not to edit the code.

  • Make sure that your message has {% raw %}##{{Address}} ##{{.GlobalUnsubscribeLink}} and ##{{.FromEmail}}{% endraw %} in it, to be able to save these settings, and successfully run your marketing campaigns in SendX.

  • Click on Save & Exit in the bottom right to save your settings and associate your new Footer Message with your marketing campaigns.

⚠️ Important: Before making changes, ensure you have the correct HTML code ready.

Any errors in the code may prevent your campaigns from being sent successfully through SendX. Double-check your code to avoid delivery issues.
