Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
A SendX account (sign up at sendx.io if you haven’t yet)
A list of email contacts (even a small test list is fine to start)
A campaign goal in mind (e.g., sending a newsletter, promotion, or update)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Setting Up a List
To start sending emails, first create a List to organize your subscribers:
Navigate to Audience > Lists from the main menu
Click + Create List
Name the list (e.g., Website Users)
Click Create
Lists help you segment your contacts based on behavior, source, or purpose.
Adding Contacts
You can go ahead and fill the list with subscribers. You can:
Add contacts manually via Contacts > Create Contact
Or import a CSV file using Import Contacts
For this guide, let’s add a single contact:
Go to Contacts > Create Contact
Enter your email and name
Click Create
You can also add custom properties like Birthday, Company, etc., to use later in personalization.
Creating a Newsletter Campaign
Now, let’s create your first email newsletter campaign:
Go to Campaigns > Newsletters
Click + Create Newsletter
Newsletter creation has five stages:
a. Sender
Set the Campaign Name, Subject Line, Preview Text
Choose the From Name and From Email
b. Design
Choose a template from your saved library or from SendX's built-in collection
This becomes the structure for your email content
c. Content
Add your message, images, and other elements
Drag-and-drop elements like buttons, text boxes, and social icons from the right panel
Personalize using tags (e.g.,
{{.FirstName}}
) and add emojis if desired
Sending a Test Newsletter
Recipients & Review
Click Send Test in the toolbar to preview the email in your inbox
Check for formatting or rendering issues before the final send
Once sent, your campaign will appear in your subscribers' inboxes.
If you have reached this stage, then it means everything is working fine.
Choose the list you created earlier (e.g., Website Users)
Review all campaign details
Click Send Now or schedule it for later
Analyzing reports
To view campaign performance:
Go to the Newsletter section
Click View Report next to the campaign name
You'll see data such as:
Open rates
Click-through rates
Bounce and unsubscribe stats
