If you’ve already built a drip series and want all your contacts to start receiving emails at the same time, this guide will walk you through setting it up efficiently using a list-based automation trigger.
Before You Begin
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready:
An existing Drip Campaign is set up.
A List created to which you want to add your contacts.
A CSV file with all the contact details you want to import.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create a List
Navigate to your Lists section.
Create a new list where the group of contacts will be added.
Set Up Automation
Go to the Automation tab and click Create New Automation.
Choose the trigger: "When someone subscribes to a list."
Select the list you just created.
Add Action to Start Drip Campaign
In the automation flow, add an Action: "Add to a Drip Campaign."
Select the Drip Campaign you have already built.
Save & Submit the Automation
Review your automation settings and click Submit to activate it.
Import Contacts into the List
Go back to the List.
Click on Import Contacts and upload your CSV file.
Once imported, all contacts will automatically be triggered into the drip campaign and receive emails at the same time.
Tips & Best Practices
Test with a Small List First: Before doing a full import, test your automation with a small list to ensure everything flows correctly.
Clean Your CSV: Make sure the CSV file is correctly formatted (no duplicates, correct headers, clean data).
Monitor Deliverability: Keep an eye on open and bounce rates after the drip starts to ensure your emails are being received.
Tag Your Contacts: Consider adding tags during import to track which campaign or purpose the contacts were added for.
Double-Check Automation Flow: Always review the automation flow before submitting to avoid incorrect triggers or actions.
