Connecting Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to SendX brings your contacts, lists, senders, and sending domains into SendX in one go. Once connected, you can start sending to your audience from SendX without having to re-import or recreate anything manually.
When you'd use this
You've been using Brevo to manage your email marketing and now want to send from SendX. This integration migrates your audience data — contacts, list memberships, senders, and domains — so you can hit the ground running in SendX without starting from scratch.
What data gets synced
When you connect Brevo, SendX imports the following:
Contact lists — All Brevo contact lists are created as SendX lists. Contacts are assigned to the same lists in SendX.
Contacts — Email, first name, last name, company, and other attributes are mapped to SendX contact fields. Contacts marked as email blacklisted in Brevo are synced as unsubscribed in SendX. All other fields become custom fields.
Domains — Brevo sending domains are checked against your SendX account. New domains are added automatically where possible.
Senders — Brevo senders (name and email address) are created as SendX senders.
Synced contacts are automatically tagged via_brevo so you can identify, filter, and segment them at any time.
Campaigns, SMS messages, transactional templates, and automation workflows are not synced — only contacts, lists, domains, and senders are imported.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
An active Brevo account with contacts and at least one list
Ability to generate an API key in Brevo (under Settings > SMTP & API)
A SendX account with permission to manage integrations
Step-by-step setup
1. Click on your Profile icon in Brevo and click on Settings.
2. Click on SMTP & API and select API keys & SMTP.
3. Click Generate a new API key.
4. Give the key a name and click Generate.
5. Copy the generated API key. Brevo only shows the full key once right after generation — copy it before closing the dialog.
6. In your SendX account, go to Settings > Integrations and click New Integration.
7. Select Brevo, paste in the API key, and click Save.
8. You're all set! The integration will begin syncing data. The time required depends on the number of contacts in your Brevo account.
After the initial sync, SendX checks for new and updated contacts from Brevo every hour.
Important notes
Blacklisted contacts become unsubscribed. Contacts marked as email blacklisted in Brevo are imported as unsubscribed in SendX and will not receive campaigns.
List membership is preserved. Contacts in multiple Brevo lists will be in multiple SendX lists.
Senders are created, not updated. If you change a sender's details in Brevo later, update it in SendX manually.
Domains are added only once. Existing domains in your SendX account are not modified — only new ones are added.
Contacts are deduplicated by email. If a contact already exists in SendX, their record is updated — not duplicated.
Deleting the integration stops future syncs but does not remove contacts, lists, or senders already in SendX.
Common questions
How long does the initial sync take?
Small accounts typically sync within a few minutes. Larger accounts may take longer.
Will my existing SendX contacts be overwritten?
No. SendX merges by email address. Existing contacts are updated — nothing is deleted.
What happens to contacts that are blacklisted in Brevo?
They are synced into SendX as unsubscribed and will be excluded from campaigns automatically.
My contacts are in multiple Brevo lists — will that carry over?
Yes. Each contact's list membership is read from Brevo and recreated in SendX.
What happens if I delete the integration?
Contacts, lists, and senders already synced into SendX remain. Deleting the integration only stops future syncs.
