How to Create Contact Segments

Whether you're targeting based on user activity, location, or subscription status, SendX allows you to create smart segments with ease. This guide will walk you through the process of creating contact segments in your SendX account.

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

  • You have contacts already added to your SendX account

  • You know the criteria by which you’d like to segment your audience (e.g., list, tag, email, status)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to the Segments Section

  • Log in to your SendX dashboard

  • Go to Audience > Segments from the top menu

2. Create a New Segment

  • Click on the + Create Segment button

  • Give your segment a relevant name (e.g., "Newsletter Subscribers" or "Inactive Users")

3. Define Segment Criteria

You’ll now see multiple filter options to define who should be included in the segment. You can choose from:

  • Contacts in a specific List

  • Contacts with a specific email address

  • Contacts who are unsubscribed

  • Contacts with specific tags

  • Contacts with specific custom field values

📌 You can also add multiple conditions using "AND/OR" logic to further refine your segment.

4. Save Your Segment

  • After setting the criteria, click Save Segment

  • The segment will now automatically populate with contacts who meet the selected filters
