Franchise Support in SendX lets you share email templates, tags, custom fields, segments, and automations from your main team to all other teams in your organization.
You can now share assets centrally and ensure everyone uses the same on-brand content. This helps eliminate duplicate work, reduces inconsistencies, and keeps all your teams aligned without constant oversight from headquarters.
This guide will show you how to share different types of resources across teams, manage edit permissions, and maintain brand consistency across your entire organization.
Before You Begin
Before setting up franchise support and sharing resources across teams, make sure you have:
Default team administrator access: You must be on the default/main team with permissions to share resources across the organization.
Franchise Support feature enabled: Ensure this feature is activated in your SendX account settings.
Multiple teams set up: Have your franchise or subsidiary teams already created in your SendX organization.
Resources ready to share: Prepare the email templates, tags, custom fields, segments, or automations you want to distribute.
Understanding of edit permissions: Know that sharing resources often transfers edit control from the default team to other teams.

That's how you can effectively use franchise support in SendX to manage and share resources across teams.
Tips & Best Practices
Here are some helpful ways to manage franchise support effectively:
Share strategically: Only share resources that truly need to be consistent across all teams to avoid cluttering other teams' interfaces.
Test with one team first: Before sharing widely, test the sharing process with a single team to ensure everything works as expected.
Share dependencies first: For automations, always share all related tags, custom fields, and campaigns before sharing the automation itself.
Use descriptive names: Name your shared resources clearly so teams understand their purpose and usage guidelines.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Franchise support involves multiple teams and permissions, so you might encounter some challenges. Here are solutions to common problems:
Problem: "I can't see the Share and Allow Edit columns in my resource sections."
Solution: Ensure you're logged into the default team and that Franchise Support is enabled in your account. These columns only appear for the main/default team with franchise support activated.
Problem: "The Share button is grayed out for my automation."
Solution: All entities used in the automation's triggers and actions must be shared first. Check that any tags, custom fields, segments, or campaigns referenced in the automation are already shared with other teams.
Problem: "I accidentally gave edit access and now I can't control the resource."
Solution: Edit access transfers are permanent and cannot be reversed. You'll need to create a new version of the resource if you need to regain control. Plan carefully before clicking "Allow Edit."
Problem: "Other teams can't see the resources I shared."
Solution: Verify that you clicked "Share" in the confirmation dialog and that the teams you're checking actually exist in your organization. Try switching teams yourself to confirm the resources appear.
Problem: "I want to stop sharing a resource, but the option is grayed out."
Solution: Resources with edit access enabled (templates, segments, auto-trigger campaigns, and automations) cannot be unshared once edit permissions are granted. However, custom fields and tags can always be unshared even after they're shared, since they automatically grant edit access without a separate permission step.
