How to Use the Dynamic Sender Addon

The Dynamic Sender feature allows you to personalize the "From Name" and "From Email" for every single contact in your list.

Instead of sending a newsletter from a generic address (e.g., marketing@yourcompany.com), you can ensure that Contact A receives the email from their dedicated account manager (e.g., john@yourcompany.com) while Contact B receives it from theirs (e.g., sarah@yourcompany.com).

Why Use This Feature?

Using multiple sender profiles allows you to tailor the inbox experience for your subscribers.

  • Regional and Local Division: This is perfect for franchises or agencies managing multiple businesses through one SendX account. You can ensure subscribers in New York receive emails from the New York branch, while subscribers in London hear from the UK team.

  • Increase Trust: Recipients are significantly more likely to open emails from a person they already know or a specific local branch they interact with.

  • Boost Deliverability: Distributing your total sending volume across multiple valid, authenticated email addresses can help protect and improve your overall domain sender reputation.

  • Enhance Engagement: Sending from individual profiles is highly effective for sales teams, account management outreach, and personalized coaching programs where a 1-to-1 relationship is expected.

Before You Start: Critical Requirements

To use this feature successfully, you must ensure the following:

  1. Verified Domains Only: The email addresses you use as Dynamic Senders must belong to a domain that is already verified in your SendX account.

    • Example: If your verified domain is @acme.com, you cannot use agent@gmail.com as a dynamic sender. If you attempt to use an unverified domain, the email will not be sent to that contact.

  2. Newsletters Only: Currently, this feature works for Newsletters (Broadcasts). It does not apply to Drip Sequences or Automation emails.

Step 1: Enable the Dynamic Sender Addon

By default, this feature is turned off. You must enable it in your account settings.

  1. Log in to your SendX Dashboard.

  2. Click on your Profile Icon in the top-right corner navigation bar.

  3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

  4. In the Settings menu, click on the Add-ons tab.

  5. Locate Dynamic Sender and toggle the switch to Enable.

Step 2: Prepare Your Contact List (CSV)

For SendX to know which sender to use for which contact, your contact list (CSV file) must contain specific columns.

Format your CSV file with these exact headers:

  • SxSender Name: The name you want the recipient to see (e.g., "John Doe").

  • SxSender Email: The specific email address sending the message (e.g., "john@acme.com").

Example CSV Structure:

Email

First Name

SxSender Name

SxSender Email

Alice

John Doe

Bob

Sarah Smith

Note: Ensure the column headers match the spelling above exactly so SendX can automatically map the data.

Step 3: Import and Map Contacts

Once your file is ready, import it into SendX.

  1. Navigate to the Audience tab in the top navigation bar.

  2. Click the + New List button (or select an existing list) and choose Import Contact.

  3. Upload your formatted CSV file.

  4. Map the Fields:

    • SendX tries to automatically map fields based on headers.

    • Verify that your CSV column SxSender Name is mapped to the SendX field SxSender Name.

    • Verify that your CSV column SxSender Email is mapped to the SendX field SxSender Email.

  5. Click Complete to finish the import.

Step 4: Send Your Newsletter

You do not need to configure special settings inside the email editor itself. The system works in the background.

  1. Go to Campaigns > Newsletters.

  2. Create and design your newsletter as usual.

  3. Select the list you just imported.

  4. Send or Schedule the campaign.

How it works upon sending:

SendX will look at every contact in the list. If the contact has data in the SxSender fields, the email will be sent from that specific person.

Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

What happens if a contact does not have a Dynamic Sender assigned?

If the SxSender fields are empty for a specific contact, the system will automatically fall back to the Default Sender details configured in your Campaign settings. This ensures no one is left out of the broadcast.

Where will replies go?

If a contact replies to the newsletter, the destination depends on your campaign settings:

  • Default: Replies generally go to the "From" address (the specific Dynamic Sender).

  • Custom Reply-To: If you have enabled and configured a "Custom Reply-To" address in the campaign settings, that setting will take precedence.

Why did some of my emails fail to send?

Check if the dynamic email addresses used in your CSV belong to a verified domain. If you try to send from agent@yahoo.com but your SendX account only has yourcompany.com verified, the system will block the send to protect your deliverability reputation.
