When You Need This
You should reset your password if:
You've forgotten your current password and can't log in
You want to update your password for security reasons
You suspect unauthorized access to your account
You're experiencing login issues related to your password
Option 1: Reset Password When Logged Out (Forgot Password)
If you cannot log in because you've forgotten your password, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the Login Page
Visit the SendX login page where you normally sign in.
Step 2: Click "Forgot Password?"
Look for the "Forgot Password?" link below the login form and click it.
Step 3: Enter Your Registered Email Address
Type the email address associated with your SendX account and submit the form.
Step 4: Check Your Email
You'll receive a password reset email within a few minutes. The reset link in this email is valid for 15 minutes only.
Important: If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder. The email will come from SendX.
Step 5: Click the Reset Link
Open the email and click the password reset link. This will take you to a secure page where you can create a new password.
Step 6: Create Your New Password
Enter your new password twice to confirm it. Your password must include:
A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
Numbers
Symbols (such as !, @, #, $, etc.)
Step 7: Log In
Once your password is reset, return to the login page and sign in with your new password.
Option 2: Change Password When Logged In
If you're already logged into your SendX account and want to change your password:
Step 1: Go to Your Profile
Click on your profile picture or avatar in the top right corner of your dashboard, then select "My Profile" from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Navigate to Password Settings
Look for the password reset section within your profile settings.
Step 3: Fill Out the Password Reset Form
You'll need to provide:
Old Password: Your current password
New Password: Your desired new password (must include letters, numbers, and symbols)
Retype New Password: Enter the new password again to confirm
Step 4: Save Your Changes
Click the "Reset Password" button. Your password will be updated immediately, and you'll receive a confirmation.
Important Notes and Limitations
Password Requirements
Your new password must contain a combination of:
Uppercase and lowercase letters
Numbers (0-9)
Special characters or symbols (e.g., @, #, $, %, &)
Weak or common passwords will be rejected.
Account Lockout Protection
If you enter the wrong password multiple times while trying to log in, your account will be temporarily locked for 4 hours as a security measure. If this happens, wait 4 hours before trying again, or use the "Forgot Password?" option to reset it immediately.
Reset Link Expiration
Password reset links sent via email expire after 15 minutes. If your link has expired, simply request a new one by going through the "Forgot Password?" process again.
Session and Device Logout
Changing your password does not immediately log you out of all devices. You'll remain logged in on your current device until your session cookie expires naturally. Other devices will also stay logged in until their cookies expire.
Suspended Accounts
If your SendX account has been suspended, you will not be able to reset your password. Please contact SendX support for assistance.
All Users Can Reset Their Own Password
Account owners, admins, and team members can all reset their own passwords using the steps above. You cannot reset passwords for other team members.
Common Questions and Troubleshooting
I didn't receive the password reset email. What should I do?
First, check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, wait a few minutes and try requesting the reset link again. Make sure you're entering the correct email address associated with your SendX account.
The password reset link says it's expired. What now?
Reset links are only valid for 15 minutes. Simply go back to the login page, click "Forgot Password?" again, and request a new link.
I keep getting an error that my password is too weak. What's wrong?
Your password must include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (like @, #, or $). Avoid using common words or simple patterns.
My account is locked. How do I unlock it?
If you've entered the wrong password too many times, your account will be locked for 4 hours as a security precaution. You can either wait 4 hours or use the "Forgot Password?" option to reset your password and regain access immediately.
Will changing my password log me out everywhere?
No. Changing your password does not immediately end active sessions on other devices. You'll be logged out from those devices once the session cookie expires.
Can I reset a team member's password for them?
No. Each user must reset their own password. Team members can follow the same process outlined in this article.
I'm getting an error when trying to change my password. What should I do?
Make sure you're entering your current (old) password correctly. If you've forgotten it, log out and use the "Forgot Password?" option instead. If the issue persists, contact SendX support.
