What This Feature Does
A dedicated IP gives you a unique IP address for sending your emails, separate from other SendX users. With a dedicated IP, your sender reputation is completely under your control—other senders' behaviour won't affect your email deliverability.
When and Why You'd Need This
Consider getting a dedicated IP if you:
Send high volumes of email consistently (typically 50,000+ emails per month)
Have established sending patterns and good engagement rates
Need complete control over your sender reputation
Want to isolate your sending from shared IP pools
Are an established brand with a warm domain and consistent sending
Best practices before purchasing:
Verify your sending domain is properly configured in SendX
Have been sending emails regularly for at least 30-60 days
Maintain healthy engagement metrics (opens, clicks, low bounce rates)
Send consistent volumes rather than sporadic bursts
New senders or those with low volume should typically start on shared IPs to build reputation before transitioning to a dedicated IP.

Starting to Send on Your Dedicated IP
While you can technically start sending immediately after your IP is allocated, follow these best practices for optimal deliverability:
Warm up gradually:
Start with your most engaged subscribers
Send smaller volumes initially (a few hundred to a few thousand)
Gradually increase volume over 2-4 weeks
Monitor bounce rates and engagement closely
Maintain consistency:
Send regularly rather than in large, infrequent batches
Keep your sending volume relatively steady week-to-week
Avoid sudden spikes that could trigger spam filters
Watch your metrics:
Monitor deliverability percentages in your SendX reports
Track inbox placement vs. spam placement
Address bounces and complaints quickly
Common Questions
How long does setup take after purchase?
Your dedicated IP will be allocated within 24-48 hours of payment. You'll receive a notification when it's ready.
Can I see my assigned IP address?
No, the actual IP address isn't visible in your SendX account. SendX manages the technical details, but you can view all sending statistics and deliverability metrics.
Can I purchase multiple dedicated IPs?
Yes, there's no limit. Each dedicated IP costs $300 per year and requires a separate payment.
Will I need to configure anything technical?
No. SendX handles all technical configuration automatically once your IP is allocated.
What if I'm a new sender?
If you're new to email marketing or send low volumes, consider starting on SendX's shared IP infrastructure to build your reputation first. Dedicated IPs work best for established senders with consistent high volume.
How do I know my dedicated IP is working?
Check your campaign reports for deliverability statistics. You'll see inbox placement rates, spam placement, and other metrics that show how your emails are performing.
