Domain whitelisting through Namecheap helps authenticate your emails, improving deliverability and reducing the chances of your messages landing in spam. This guide provides a step-by-step process to add the necessary DNS records (like DKIM, or CNAME) to your Namecheap domain.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Access to your Namecheap account

  • Your domain already registered and managed via Namecheap

  • DNS records (TXT, CNAME, etc.) provided by Sendx have been generated.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Log in to Namecheap

Step 2: Access Domain List

  • Click on “Domain List” from the left sidebar.

  • Find your domain and click Manage next to it.

Step 3: Go to Advanced DNS

  • In the domain dashboard, navigate to the “Advanced DNS” tab.

Step 4: Add DNS Records

  • Scroll to the Host Records section and click Add New Record.

  • Select the correct record type (e.g., TXT for SPF/DKIM, CNAME for tracking).

  • Paste the values exactly as provided by your email platform.

  • Leave TTL as automatic unless specified otherwise.

  • Click the green checkmark to save each record.

Step 5: Verify Your Domain

  • Return to your email platform and click Verify or Authenticate.

  • Allow some time (up to 24 hours) for DNS propagation.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Avoid duplicate records: Only one SPF or DKIM record should exist per domain. If needed, merge values rather than creating multiple entries.

  • Use correct values: Always use the copy function instead of typing manually to avoid errors in the values or code.

  • Re-verify if needed: If verification fails initially, give it some time and try again. If the domain remains unverified after 24 hours, consider reaching out to support for further assistance.
