Export Contacts from a List

Exporting contacts from a specific list in SendX allows you to back up your data, analyze it externally, or import it into other tools. This quick guide shows you how to export contacts from a chosen list and download them as a CSV file.

Before You Begin

Ensure:

  • You have access to the Audience section in your SendX account.

  • Your email address is set as the admin email, as the export will be sent there.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Go to the Audience Section

  • Log in to your SendX dashboard and click on Audience in the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Navigate to the Lists Tab

  • Within the Audience section, select the Lists tab to view all your contact lists.

Step 3: Select the Desired List

  • Click on the list from which you want to export the contacts.

Step 4: Click on Actions

  • Inside the selected list view, locate and click on the Actions dropdown (

  • From the dropdown menu, select Export Contacts.

Step 5: Download the CSV File

  • A download link will be sent to the admin email address associated with your SendX account.

  • Open the email and click the provided link to download your contact list as a CSV file.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use a consistent naming convention for exported files to keep them organized.

  • Check your spam or promotions folder if you don’t receive the export email within a few minutes.

  • Keep your admin email updated to avoid missing critical export links.

Troubleshooting / Common Issues

  • Didn’t receive the export email?

    • Confirm that the email address is correct and has inbox space.

    • Check your spam/junk folder or try exporting again.

  • CSV file won’t open properly?

  • Make sure you’re using a spreadsheet application that supports UTF-8 encoded CSV files.
