If your payment doesn’t go through, don’t worry. Your SendX account and data remain safe. Payment failures can happen for simple reasons like an expired card, insufficient balance, or a temporary bank block. Once the issue is fixed, your account returns to normal immediately.

This article walks you through how to identify what caused the failure, update your payment details, and retry the transaction so your subscription stays active without interruption.

Before You Begin

  • Access to your SendX billing page.

  • Your current payment method or a backup card is ready for updates.

  • Awareness of any recent upgrades, add-ons, or plan changes that may have triggered the payment.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Identify the Payment Failure

  • Click on profile icon → Billing → Payment History.

  • Look for transactions marked as failed.

  • Check the error message to understand the reason (e.g., card declined, expired, insufficient funds).

2. Update Your Payment Method

  • Click on profile icon → Billing → Manage Payment Method.

Select Change Card or Update Payment Method.

Click on "Update Card Payments" and select the option to “ add payment method”

Update the new details and select

After adding the details, click on "Update."

3. Retry the Payment

  • After updating your card, retry the payment for the failed transaction.

  • This will ensure your account remains active and avoids potential account locks.

4. Handling Accidental Upgrades or Overages

  • If you accidentally upgraded or added too many contacts:

    • You can delete the latest upgrade action to reset your contact limit.

    • Downgrade by adjusting your contacts or plan if needed.

    • Refunds are not automatic. Instead, we will add credits to your SendX account for future billing.

    • If you are unsatisfied or need assistance, reach out to SendX support.

5. Confirm Account Status

  • Check your account dashboard to ensure sending capabilities are restored.

  • Verify that the billing page reflects the updated payment method and correct subscription tier.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always keep your card details current to avoid service disruption.

  • Review billing notifications promptly to prevent overdue payments.

  • Contact SendX support if issues persist after updating your payment method.

  • Monitor your contact count before importing to avoid accidental overages.

Conclusion

Once your payment is successful, your SendX team automatically returns to normal — there’s nothing else you need to do. Your campaigns, automations, and billing cycle continue exactly where they left off. Going forward, it’s a good idea to review your billing page occasionally to confirm your payment details are current, especially before renewals. Staying proactive keeps your subscription seamless and ensures your marketing never pauses unexpectedly.
