A notification appears confirming that the payment has been received and the subscription is being activated.

6. Your current subscription details will be displayed shortly. If they don’t appear, please refresh the page.

How upgrade billing works

When you upgrade to a higher tier:

  1. You're charged immediately for the prorated difference

  2. The charge covers the remaining days in your current billing cycle

  3. Your new tier takes effect instantly

  4. Your next full invoice will reflect the new tier price

Example: You're on the 5,000 tier ($39.99/month) and upgrade to the 15,000 tier ($79.99/month) on day 15 of a 30-day cycle. You'll pay roughly half the difference for the remaining 15 days. Your next invoice will be $79.99.

Viewing prorated charges before confirming

If you're already on a paid plan and upgrading, you can see exactly what you'll pay before confirming.

  1. After selecting your new tier, click View details under "Amount due today"

  2. Review the prorated credit (for unused days on your current tier) and prorated charge (for remaining days on the new tier)

In the form, review the prorated charge for contacts up to 25,000.

3. Verify the total amount due today

In the form, verify the total amount due today.

4. Click Confirm to complete the upgrade

Downgrading your tier

If you've reduced your contact count and want to pay less, you can move to a lower tier.

Step-by-step downgrade process

  1. Go to Profile dropdown → Team Billing

  2. Click Change Plan

  3. Select a lower tier

  4. Click Update Plan to confirm

Important downgrade restriction

You can only downgrade to a tier that covers your current contact count.

Example: If you have 12,000 contacts, you cannot select the 10,000 tier. You'd need to delete contacts first to bring your count below 10,000.

How downgrade billing works

When you downgrade to a lower tier:

  1. The change takes effect immediately

  2. The unused portion of your current tier is credited to your account

  3. This credit applies automatically to future invoices

  4. Your next invoice will reflect the new tier price minus any credit

Example: You're on the 15,000 tier ($79.99/month) and downgrade to the 10,000 tier ($59.99/month) on day 10 of a 30-day cycle. You'll receive a credit for approximately 2/3 of $79.99 (the unused portion). This credit applies to your next invoice.

Note: Credits are non-refundable to your payment method. They stay in your SendX account and reduce future charges.

Common questions

Can I upgrade and downgrade multiple times in one month?

Yes. Each change is calculated independently. However, frequent changes can make your billing confusing to track.

I downgraded but my invoice still shows the old amount. Why?

The credit from your downgrade applies to future invoices. Your current invoice may have been generated before the change. Check your next invoice to see the credit applied.

What if I want to pause my account instead of downgrading?

SendX doesn't currently offer a pause feature. Your options are to stay on your current tier, downgrade to a lower tier, or let your plan expire (cancellation feature coming soon).

Can I upgrade for just one month during a big campaign?

Yes. Upgrade before your campaign, then downgrade afterward. You'll pay the prorated higher rate for the days you were on that tier, and receive credit when you downgrade.

How long does it take for the upgrade to take effect?

Immediately. As soon as payment processes, your new tier is active and you can use the additional contact capacity.

I changed my mind right after upgrading. Can I undo it?

You can downgrade back to your previous tier. You'll receive credit for the unused portion of the upgrade. However, you can only downgrade if your contact count is within the lower tier's limit.
