Why Are My Campaigns Marked as "Quarantined" and How Can I Resolve This?

Quarantined status means your campaign has been temporarily held for manual review by our deliverability team.

What This Means

This is an automated precautionary measure designed to protect your sender reputation and ensure your emails reach your recipients' inboxes.

Why Campaigns Get Quarantined

SendX uses an automated system that scans campaign content before sending. Your campaign may be flagged if the content resembles patterns commonly associated with spam, such as:

  • Excessive use of promotional language or symbols

  • Content that triggers common spam filters

  • Certain formatting or structure patterns

  • Unusually high use of links or images

This is a protective measure, not a penalty. It helps maintain high deliverability rates across our platform.

What Happens During Quarantine

Review Timeline: Your campaign will be manually reviewed by SendX support within 4 to 24 hours.

Scheduled Campaigns: If your campaign was scheduled, don't worry. The schedule is preserved and your campaign will be sent at the scheduled time once it passes review.

Campaign Status: You can see the "Quarantined" status in your campaign dashboard, but specific flagging reasons are not shown as our detection criteria evolve to stay ahead of spam filters.

Important: Quarantined campaigns still count toward your account's email sending limits, even while under review.

How to Resolve a Quarantined Campaign

Step 1: Wait for Manual Review

Our team will review your campaign within 4 to 24 hours. Most campaigns are approved after review.

Step 2: Check Your Campaign Status

Monitor your campaign dashboard for status updates. Once approved, your campaign will either send immediately or at its scheduled time.

Step 3: Contact Support (If Needed)

If your campaign remains quarantined beyond 24 hours, or if you need urgent assistance, contact SendX support with your campaign details.

Important Notes

  • You cannot manually "release" a quarantined campaign yourself. Only SendX support can approve and release campaigns after review.

  • The quarantine happens before sending only. Once a campaign is sent, it cannot be retroactively quarantined.

  • There are no account penalties for having campaigns quarantined. This is simply a quality control measure.

  • All team members can view quarantined campaign status regardless of their role.

How to Prevent Future Quarantines

While we cannot guarantee campaigns won't be flagged (as spam detection evolves constantly), these practices help:

Write Natural, Conversational Content

Avoid content that sounds overly promotional or sales-heavy. Write as if you're speaking directly to one person.

Limit Excessive Formatting

Excessive capitalization, multiple exclamation points, or heavy use of symbols can trigger filters.

Balance Text and Images

Emails with too many images and little text often get flagged. Aim for a healthy balance.

Use Links Thoughtfully

Too many links, especially shortened links, can raise red flags. Include only necessary, relevant links.

Maintain Clean List Hygiene

Send only to engaged contacts who opted in to receive your emails.

Test Before Sending

Preview your campaign and ask yourself: "Does this look like spam to me?" If you're unsure, adjust your content.

Common Questions

Q: Will my campaign be rejected?

Most campaigns are approved after review. Quarantine is precautionary, not a rejection.

Q: Can I edit my campaign while it's quarantined?

No. Once quarantined, the campaign is locked for review. If rejected, you'll need to create a new campaign with adjusted content.

Q: Why can't I see what triggered the quarantine?

We don't share specific triggers to prevent spammers from gaming the system. This protects deliverability for all SendX users.

Q: Does this affect my sending reputation?

No. Quarantine prevents potentially problematic emails from being sent, which actually protects your sender reputation.

Q: Will this delay my scheduled campaign?

If approved within the review window, your campaign will still send at its scheduled time. If the review extends beyond your scheduled time, there may be a delay.
