Every new SendX team starts with a 14-day free trial. You get up to 500 contacts and 500 emails to test the platform before choosing a paid tier.
When you'll need this
Read this article if you just signed up and want to understand what's included, you're approaching the end of your trial, your trial has expired and you're not sure what happens next, or you exceeded 500 contacts during the trial.
What's included in the free trial
Your free trial includes:
14 days of full access to SendX features
Up to 500 contacts in your team
Up to 500 email sends
Access to forms, popups, automations, and analytics
The trial is designed to let you test SendX with a real campaign before committing to a paid plan. No credit card is required to start.
Tracking your trial status
SendX shows your trial status on the Team Billing page. Go to Profile dropdown β Team Billing to see your trial days remaining, contacts used, and emails used.
The Base Subscription section displays your trial days remaining:
You can also see your contact and email usage:
What happens if you exceed 500 contacts during the trial
If you import or add more than 500 contacts, your team locks immediately. You'll see a banner prompting you to upgrade to a paid tier.
To unlock your team:
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
Select Team Billing from the dropdown
3. Select a paid tier that covers your contact count
4. Complete the payment
β
Your trial converts to a paid plan, and your billing cycle starts from that date.
Good news: You can also unlock by deleting contacts. If you bring your count back to 500 or below, your trial continues.
What happens when your trial expires
If you don't upgrade before the 14 days end, your team locks. You can still log in and view your data, but you cannot send emails.
Reminder schedule:
SendX sends reminders to help you prepare:
Day After Expiry | What Happens |
Day 1 | First reminder email |
Day 8 | Second reminder email |
Day 17 | Final warning email |
Day 18 | Resource cleanup |
Day 18 cleanup: what gets removed
On Day 18 after trial expiry, SendX cleans up certain resources to prevent abuse and reduce infrastructure usage:
Forms: All forms stop working. Hosted form pages are removed. Embedded forms on your website will show errors.
Blog add-on: Disabled if you were using it.
Integrations: All integrations are deleted, including connections to Zapier, Shopify, and other tools.
What's preserved:
Contacts and lists
Campaign history
Email templates
Analytics data
Your contacts remain in SendX indefinitely, so you can come back and upgrade whenever you're ready.
How to upgrade from the trial
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
Select Team Billing from the dropdown
3. Click Upgrade Now in the Base Subscription section
4. Select a tier that fits your expected contact count
5. Complete payment on Stripe
Your paid plan starts immediately. The billing cycle anchors to your upgrade date.
Important notes
No credit card required. You can start the trial without payment details.
Contacts persist. Your imported contacts remain after trial expiry, but you can't email them until you upgrade.
Day 18 cleanup is irreversible. Deleted integrations cannot be recovered. You'll need to set them up again if you upgrade later.
Add-ons work during trial. You can enable paid add-ons even without a core paid plan. Add-on billing is independent.
Common questions
Can I extend my trial?
Trials are fixed at 14 days. If you need more time to evaluate SendX, contact support to discuss your situation.
What happens to my campaigns after the trial expires?
Drafts and completed campaigns remain in your account. You can view analytics for campaigns sent during the trial. But you cannot send new campaigns until you upgrade.
I accidentally imported too many contacts. Can I delete them and continue the trial?
Yes. Delete contacts to bring your count to 500 or below, and your trial continues. The team unlocks as soon as you're within the limit.
Do I lose my data if I don't upgrade?
Your contacts and campaign history remain intact indefinitely. However, on Day 18 after expiry, forms stop working, the blog add-on is disabled, and integrations are deleted. Upgrade before Day 18 to avoid recreating these.
Can I have add-ons during the trial?
Yes. You can enable add-ons even without a core paid plan. Add-on billing works independently from your contact tier.
What's the difference between the 500-contact limit and 500-email limit?
Both limits apply during the trial. You can have up to 500 contacts in your team, and you can send up to 500 total emails. If you hit either limit, you'll need to upgrade to continue.
